Seeing Practice
If you are passionate about being a confident mixed animal vet by the time you graduate, then you need to have had quality work experience.
The Veterinary Centre Limited employs 17 vets based in our two main clinics – Oamaru Veterinary Services and Waimate Veterinary Services (Southern South Canterbury and North Otago). On average we employ two to three new graduates a year.
If you want to see how a busy and profitable practice operates, that offers top quality service to its clients and you have a desire to be a top mixed animal vet, then book in to see practice with us before graduating.
The peak of our calving period runs from early August through to mid September. Our pregnancy testing season starts in mid January.
Both practices are truly mixed, with a 70% large component and 30% small. Of the large animal side, 70% is dairy, 20% sheep and beef and the remaining 10% is equine and deer. All vets are involved in all areas of the practice.
Please contact either Mat or Dougall for further details about the practice.
