Your Future With Us

Are you looking for a career working in a progressive, well respected veterinary practice, offering innovating and challenging opportunities to advance in your profession? And do you want to be able to enjoy all that the Central South Island has to offer? If so, then we’d love to hear from you.

We are currently looking for a veterinarian to take responsibility for our Waitaki Valley clients, based in the Kurow and Omarama regions, with a significant focus on productive high country sheep and beef farms, and the wide variety of veterinary medicine which that involves. While this would be your primary goal, you would be actively involved with the wider Veterinary Centre team.

We have an in-depth resource of skilled and experienced vets, (28 vets in all) complemented by a great supporting staff of 24, including qualified nurses, technicians, and technical support staff.

All our staff understand the importance of working as a team, crossing boundaries if necessary to help each other out. We foster this important attribute to make work a happy place, and to facilitate the provision of excellent veterinary services and customer relations.

1. “Employ for attitude - Train for skills”. Your level of experience and familiarity in a position is less important than your attitude. Our people enjoy working together and give their best. If you know you have the right attitude, do not let a lack of experience stop you from applying for a position.

2. “Satisfied staff satisfy customers”. It is really important that you are happy in your employment. We know our people make our business, and we know staff give their best when they are happy in their work and enjoy their working environment. This promotes a challenging and satisfying career.

Attractive duty rosters, remuneration packages, Continuing Education, etc are all offered, and you would be living and working in a spectacular part of New Zealand, but more importantly your job satisfaction and future are assured.

Please phone Kevin Kearney directly, or fill in the form below with your details and we will be in touch.
