Experienced Small Animal Veterinarian - Veterinary Centre Oamaru

Join a large, independent veterinary clinic where you can practice high-quality small animal medicine and surgery while enjoying an affordable coastal lifestyle.

About the Practice

We’re a mixed animal clinic with a busy, well-supported small animal team. On a typical day you’ll work alongside 5–6 small animal vets and a highly capable nursing team, with a strong core of very experienced clinicians (including vets with advanced postgraduate study).

We handle a wide range of cases in-house, from routine consults and surgery through to complex medical workups and soft tissue procedures. Our wider group includes two orthopaedic surgeons, giving access to advanced cases while maintaining the feel of a collaborative GP clinic.

Our modern facilities include digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and full patient monitoring. We also place strong emphasis on mentorship, CPD and professional development, and regularly support new graduates within the team.
