Angus Gibbs moves to Ranfurly

After a year in Oamaru Gus has recently moved to Ranfurly.

Hailing from a large sheep and beef farm in North Canterbury Gus has a strong interest in maximising production in both the sheep and beef sectors.

Gus is a keen sportsman – rugby, cricket, squash, golf, and is looking forward to having a run for the Maggots, and a hit for the Ranfurly cricket team – if time allows before the season finishes.

We asked Angus a few questions to help acquaint him with our Ranfurly farmers:

Crusaders or Highlanders? Crusaders

Random Fact: When I was a kid I was a model for a Four Square ad

Work Interests: Sheep, beef and deer health and production are my main areas of interest. In particular rumen nutrition and managing it to maximise production. Also enjoy the variation of small animal and dairy work.

Outside Interests: I enjoy playing sport and am looking forward to playing rugby and cricket for Ranfurly. I also enjoy having a few beers with mates and duck shooting (and currently looking for a pond for this season).
